Rewarding Treats Program
Terms of
Use
General
Conditions
1.
The
Pizza Hut Rewarding Treats Program (“Rewarding Treats”) is managed
and operated by Jardine Matheson & Co Ltd – Pizza Hut Division
(“Pizza Hut”).
2.
Reward
Points are the unit of measurement for Rewarding
Treats.
3.
Only
holders (“Cardholders”) of 2009 Pizza Cards (“Pizza Card”) issued by
Pizza Hut in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“Hong
Kong”) who completed the online registration process are eligible to
become a member (“Member”) of Rewarding Treats. Rewarding Treats is
not applicable to Pizza Hut in Macau Special Administrative Region.
Reward Points will not be issued by or redeemable in Pizza Hut
outlets in Macau Special Administrative
Region.
4.
The
records held by Pizza Hut shall be treated as conclusive evidence of
balance of Reward Points in each Member’s
Account.
5.
Misuse
of any Pizza Card, Rewarding Treats or its benefits may result in
termination of membership or withdrawal of benefits.
6.
Pizza
Hut reserves the right to change the Rewarding Treats structure,
benefits and other features, including these terms and conditions,
or to terminate Rewarding Treats at any time. Although Pizza Hut
will use reasonable efforts to notify Members of material changes,
it is the responsibility of Members to keep themselves up-to-date in
respect of the terms and conditions of Rewarding Treats. Any use of
Rewarding Treats by a Member will be deemed as acceptance of any
change. Pizza Hut will not be liable for loss or damage resulting
there from.
7.
In
case of any dispute arising from Rewarding Treats, the decision of
Pizza Hut shall be final.
Enrolment
1.
To
become a Member, Cardholders are required to register online by
inputting the Pizza Card number imprinted on the card face, the
“Rewarding Treat” activation code printed at the back of 2009 Pizza Card(“Activation Code”) and
certain personal data. Each Pizza Card number can be registered as
one Member only. If Cardholders of 2009 Pizza Card have established
an online order account before enrolling in Rewarding Treats,
Cardholders can simply update their online account information by
inputting the Activation Code to become a member of Rewarding
Treats.
2.
Upon
completion of online registration, a Rewarding Treats Online Account
(“Member’s Account”) will be created for each
Member.
3.
In
case the Activation Code is lost, Cardholders are required to
present their Pizza Card to any Pizza Hut outlet in Hong Kong in person to retrieve the Activation
Code.
4.
Cardholders’
eligibility for Rewarding Treats is at the sole discretion of Pizza
Hut and Pizza Hut may refuse to any applicant.
Membership
Termination
1.
Members
may terminate their membership at any time by giving written notice
and returning their Pizza Card to any Pizza Hut outlet in Hong Kong, at which time any outstanding
Reward Points will be cancelled.
2.
Misconduct,
fraud, misuse of Reward Points or failure to follow the Rewarding
Treats terms and conditions may result in the immediate termination
of an individual membership and cancellation of all Reward Points.
Pizza Hut reserves the right with or without notice to terminate an
individual's membership at which time all Reward Points will be
cancelled.
Issuance
1.
Members earn one Reward Point for every HK$5 spent in Pizza Hut Hong Kong (including dine-in, take-out, online order or delivery order at hotline: 318-00000) The conversion is the total amount after any discount divided by 5, without any decimal point.
For example: 134.7 / 5 = 26.94 (26 Reward Points are accumulated)
2.
To
earn Reward Points, Members must
(i) For dine in or take out
purchases, present their Pizza Card at time of requesting the bill.
OR
(i) For delivery purchases, personally log on to Pizza Hut Online Order Website to place their order.
OR
(ii) For telephone delivery hotline, read their Pizza Card number at the time of placing their order.
In
either case Members will be required to have registered their online
order account as stated in Point 1 of Enrolment section.
3.
Reward
Points are not awarded on tips, corporate discounts, prizes,
donations, any purchase of party food (Dine in, Take-out or
Delivery), kids tours, purchases of and settlements by coupons /
vouchers.
4.
No
benefits through Rewarding Treats can be earned unless the Member
has registered, as stated in Point 1 of the Enrolment
Section.
5.
Reward
Points will be rewarded and be valid for use between 1 January 2009
and 31 December
2009
. The balance and expiry date of Reward Points will
be shown on the bill of each transaction and also the
Member’s
Account.
6.
Rewarding
Points may take 24 hours after a transaction to be credited to the
Member’s
Account.
7.
Rewarding
Points can only be earned once per transaction by one Member’s
Account
8.
Each
Member’s Account can store up to a maximum amount of Reward Points
(initially 500 Reward Points). Any changes to this maximum will be
announced on our website, www.pizzahut.com.hk.
Once the maximum amount is reached, no further Reward Points can be
earned until some Reward Points are redeemed.
Redemption
1.
To
redeem any prize, Members with sufficient Reward Points are required
to present their Pizza Card in person in a Pizza Hut outlet in
Hong Kong. In this situation, it is
not necessary for Members to make any
purchase.
2.
Members
cannot redeem any prize outside a Pizza Hut outlet in Hong Kong. No mailing service will be provided
for prize redemption. Pizza Hut telephone delivery hotline or
customer service hotline will not process any prize redemption
requests to ensure security of Member’s
Account.
3.
Prizes
in the form of coupons or vouchers can only be used for the next
purchase.
4.
Reward
Points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged or redeemed in
any way for cash.
5.
Reward
Points are not transferable and cannot be pooled from the same
Member's various Pizza Cards.
6.
Once
a redemption order (including but not limited to redemption of
vouchers or cash coupons) has been accepted by Pizza Hut, it cannot
be changed, cancelled or refunded, regardless of the redemption
channel.
7.
All
redemptions are subject to the accumulation of sufficient Reward
Points and Pizza Hut's final acceptance. Redemption requests will be
cancelled automatically in the event of insufficient Reward Points.
8.
Members
should immediately report any suspected unauthorized Rewarding
Treats claims. Pizza Hut will decide at its discretion what action,
if any, will be taken.
Malfunctions
/ Loss of Pizza Card
Pizza
Hut offers no replacement of any Pizza Card in event of loss, damage
or for any other reason. Members cannot redeem any prize without
presenting their Pizza Card, regardless of Reward Points in Member’s
Account.
Privacy
Please refer to
our Privacy Policy to see what information we may collect
from a Cardholder or Member and how we use that
information.
Miscellaneous
We
reserve the right to change the information, services and resources
available on this website, and these Terms of Use, at any time. These Terms of Use will be
governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong,
and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the
courts of Hong Kong. If for any reason a court
finds any provision or portion of the Terms of Use to be
unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms of Use will continue in
full force and effect.
Any waiver of any provision of these Terms of Use by a party
will be effective only if in writing and signed by a party. The applicability of these
Terms of Use shall survive any termination of your registration for
the Online Ordering service.
These
Terms of Use were last updated on 6 December 2008. In the case of
discrepancies between the English and Chinese versions, the English
version shall apply.
